Graphic Imaging Experience

The following photos and graphics come from the old web site that I developed and maintained during my four years as a Golden Retriever rescue worker.

The first includes a text block done by Robin, enhanced by my artwork at the bottom. This artwork served as useful purpose as well as a decorative one, for the original title of "senior dog rescue" did not do justice to the across-the-lifespan rescuing that we were doing.

The second is a photo that I shot of Zipper, an older male whom we advertised in vain for years. Although Zipper's original family eventually decided to keep him, he served as our cover boy for the 2003 calendar.

I provided the concept for the patriotic t-shirt design below, which Robin translated into PhotoShop. Finally I reworked the design in PhotoShop to modify the dog's haircut.

Below is Old Gold's first, albeit primitive logo, which I produced the same night I came up with the name of Old Gold Senior Dog Rescue. The pictured dog, who was prematurely aged in this graphic, is my own dog Elliot. The kelly green background was chosen because green looks so good with Golden fur. The arch format reflects my preference for Mexican-style architecture, a product of my being raised in San Diego.

The laughing Golden logo still maintained my favorite colors, but was easier to reproduce in bitmap format on refrigerator magnets.

The Waveland logo marked an animal welfare festival in nearby Waveland, MS, where Old Gold set up a fundraising booth.

This simple memorial block marked the passage of cancer survivor Ella.
